As you guys probably know by now since I've been actively blasting it all over my Instagram, I attended my FIRST NYFW FW17.  I've attended LAFW before with one of my best friends but NY, well that was a whole new beast.

This was my busiest day, we woke up and immediately hit the streets to do some outfit looks for me. Then my first event of the day was with my friend Ryan of ImMrFabulous.com to head backstage with Stila Cosmetics for Banana Republic (Backstage with Stila will be my next NYFW post!). That was a surreal experience to see the work it takes to get these models ready for a show.  After that, I made my way to the next event where I met with my gal pal Karolina to go to some events! First stop was PRISMS event with all their new to die for suits with colors so neutral, it's as if the designer picked them out of my dreams! Next up we went to the SHOPSTYLE event by the Hudson River which had the most incredible views. This event was packed with influencers which was very cool for me to meet some of these girls I've been Insta-friends with in person.  There was champagne and finger foods and little shop stations, so we got to unwind a bit before we went to our next event!

When I woke up for day two, it was all gloom outside.  As I was getting dressed, it started to rain.  My look for the day consisted of suede pumps and a suede bag, so this was not ideal for me.  I headed out to meet with the girls for brunch at NoMo in SoHo. First off, the food was amazing! Second, we were brunching next to Lilly Ghalichi and Aleali, so I was fangirling like crazy!

After brunch we headed to the J.Crew presentation.  This was definitely one of my favourite experiences.  I had heard from friends that J.Crew had one of the best presentations of fashion week and they definitely did not disappoint.  They showed their F/W 2017 collection, marking the brand's 11th NYFW presentation. The models that showcased all 62 looks were real people which I thought was a nice touch and made it very relatable.  The crowded room was filled with familiar social influencer faces and celebrity faces (I was dying inside).  Upon leaving, we received a gift of a silk J.Crew camo scarf with an elephant printed on it which is in support of the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust where J.Crew will be fostering 20 baby elephants and be apart of the trust for the next 10 years! Just incredible.

My last day started with a meeting at Tractenberg and Company PR firm where I got to wind down with a hand massage and a touch up on my manicure as well as try out a ton of products from the brands they represent.  The best part? I got to leave with a goodie bag full of fun products.  After that I went backstage with Stila Cosmetics again for the Frame show.  I was able to meet and interview the head makeup artist about the inspiration for the look for Frame (which I can't wait to share in my next post).  After that we went around the city and did a few street style photos for me in a couple outfits.

All in all, my very first NYFW experience was amazing! I learned a lot and cannot wait until September!
